It had been said that IHG was seeking a location for a second property in the Atlanta area; it seems they may have found one! According to multiple sources both within the company and others in the industry, the new InterContinental will be across the street from the new 1010 Midtown development and may occupy space formerly home to Jocks and Jills. With the recent passing of Stevan Porter, President of the Americas for IHG it would be no surprise to see this property built and or dedicated in his honor. IHG has its North American headquarters in Dunwoody and the Porters reside in the metro area. Expect an official announcement by the end of the year. Repeat Atlanta!
