The Return of The Deathwatch

Some loved it, some hated it, but everyone had something to say about the Deathwatch. While many agreed with my predictions, some called them totally off. (In some cases, those who disagreed with my dire projections represented the restaurant or retailer) Since my earliest predictions were made, we have seen Chima close and are now seeing LOLA and Stella re-concepted. While I will admit that somehow Aquaknox and the entire Dolce Group of concepts at Atlantic Station have pulled off extended Hanukkah miracles, their days are undoubtedly numbered. E-Brands Restaurants and The Dolce Group will have to tighten their belts and close under-performing locations in the coming months if they are to remain solvent. Next week I will reveal my new Deathwatch list. These eateries and retailers are treading on thin ice that may not last till spring. ToNeTo Atlanta

And your still WRONG about Straits! I see you can't admit it though :). And I don't represent them in any fashion.

Anon,

You seem to be a little confused on Straits status on ToNeTo Atlanta. While Straits was previously included on "Repeat Atlanta's Deathwatch", that was months ago and it is longer on any such list on this site. In its previous incarnation, this site was managed by myself, and another person. That other person is no longer a part of this site and is no longer influencing decisions or content. For that reason, all previous Deathwatch members were reevaluated and Straits, though I feel needs tweaking, was removed from the Deathwatch. The current Deathwatch feature on this site is for imminent closures, closures I feel will occur within the next 3-6 months. I do not feel Straits falls into this category.

Thanks for your comment!

Eli
