Something Fishy At The Former Taco Stand In Buckhead?

After abruptly closing last month, former Taco Stand in Buckhead has now been leased to Tin Lizzy's owners, according to my sources. Why would Tin Lizzy's want this space with their flagship location not 1 mile away? The answer may be a new concept. While neither Tin Lizzy's management or their public relations firm will confirm the lease, my sources indicate that they have in fact leased the space and are planning a seafood concept. Hopefully far from Bonehead's, a "fast-casual" seafood concept could do well if marketed and priced appropriately. Despite the fact that I think the space is worrisome given its sub prime location, Tin Lizzy's seems to have a knack for turning others' discards into their successes. Their most recent location in Grant Park, which just last week celebrated their 1st anniversary, was the original site of Six Feet Under before they relocated. Their upcoming midtown location will be in the shuttered Fuego space near Opera. ToNeTo Atlanta
