Two Local Businesses Opening Soon in TOWN Brookhaven

TOWN Brookhaven is starting to look a little more alive. Last month Moe's Southwest Grill opened their long awaited relocated Brookhaven eatery within the massive Sembler project. Their opening followed the opening of Costco Wholesale and Slack's Hoagie Shack.

This weekend, Booglaoo's, a local boutique with an existing location in Decatur, will open in the project, and next week, Here To Serve will open the third location of their popular Noche tequila & tapas bar.

The Flying Biscuit Cafe is still supposed to open, but their parent company is again seeking a franchisee to take over the space. Next to open should be an upscale Publix Supermarket and a relocated and upgraded Marshall's.

Stir Crazy and Which Wich are both opening in a building adjacent to Marshall's but it's far from complete, so their openings are a long way off. MaggieMoo's ice cream was supposedly opening, but seeing as they just closed their location in Dunwoody near Georgetown Shopping Center, I doubt that they will actually open. Cafe at Pharr will open their Peachtree Road location (relocated from Pharr Road) in the coming days and I'm told it is only after that happens that the Brookhaven location will open.

Given the oft-changing tenant list, what would you like to see open in this project?

I think that the surrounding community would support a Taco Mac or similar sports bar concept. We need an alternative to the always-failing-in-quality-and-service Hudson Grille.

Looking forward to having Noche close by. With the news of Pure, we'll have (3) very nice options in the vicinity with Verde/Noche/Pure.

I don't know if this fits the demographic, but I'd like to see the Ted's Montana relocated from the Midtown, where it seems to struggle - here to TB. Nearby Ted's at the Forum does very well with a stable neighborhood support base, and I would think this would do the same.

Finally, a late-night bar option would be ideal, I'd think. Lots of patrons close by - Slack's, Hudson Grill, and Bat N'Ball are the only ones I can think of in the area. Seems ripe doesn't it?

Heard a rumor that MaggieMoo's was relocating their location from Dunwoody. Can't wait to get my Red Velvet Ice Cream fix.
