Starbucks Will Start Pouring [ Beer & Wine ] ...Soon

Wine glasses being unloaded at Starbucks West Paces Ferry
Seattle, Washington-based Starbucks will begin selling beer and wine at four metro locations in the coming weeks.  In a move many years in the making, the coffee powerhouse is adding beer and wine to its existing beverage lineup in 16 stores nationwide.  Given that no Starbucks with a drive-thru will ever get to vend beer & wine, more popular locations that could support the business will be unable to carry beer or wine given their existing drive-thrus.  One location that comes to mind is the location in front of the Disco Kroger at Peachtree and Piedmont, another being the big new Starbucks at Midtown Place on Ponce de Leon Avenue.

The following "Starbucks Evenings" locations are confirmed via Starbucks though the exact opening dates are uncertain.  The earlier dates for each opening were relayed to me over the phone by Starbucks employees at each respective location and are likely "soft openings."  The bold date that follows is the date provided by a representative from Starbucks Press as the grand opening of each location.

Hey Michael,

Starbucks has not released what vendors or brands they will offer as part of Starbucks Evenings.

Thanks for reading the blog and for the question.

Surprised the City of Decatur one isn't one of the Starbucks selected.
