Flying Biscuit Flies in the Face of Logic and Reopens in Norcross

The Flying Biscuit Cafe is flying once again in Norcross

Atlanta-based The Flying Biscuit Cafe was forced to close their Norcross location just days after it failed its health inspection for the second time this year. Shockingly, the location has reopened as of breakfast service yesterday, Monday the 23rd.  The restaurant, part of Atlanta-based Big Game Brands but operated by an independent franchisee, is located in Interlochen Shopping Center on Peachtree Parkway in Norcross.

The restaurant received a health score of 40 on September 5th after which it received a 59 on its follow up inspection on the 12th.

The restaurant may have reopened for now but with critical violations of managerial control, hand-washing practices, disposal of date-marked foods and chemicals not being separated from food products, I doubt the public will support them much longer.

Have a look at their facebook page. See latest post below:
As a result of the recent news of our health score, we here at Flying Biscuit Norcross would like to regain your trust back by being open and honest about what caused the low score, and how we've already improved.

Upon this incident, we immediately hired 3rd party auditors, Steritech, to spend an intensive 3 days in training all staff members the updated health inspection standards. In addition, Steritech will continue to audit Flying Biscuit locations, including Norcross, through random inspections on top of the ones completed by the County. This ensures that not only are we up to par, but we're way beyond the standards you expect from your Flying Biscuit Cafes.

That is incredible that they were still so low the next week. I've been in the restaurant business for 8 years and have never seen a score below 70. Completely inexcusable to be that low. And extremely dangerous.
