Cypress Street Pint & Plate Reportedly Planning New Concept

Sources say that the owners of popular midtown eatery Cypress Street Pint & Plate are planning to open a new restaurant in place of the shuttered MidCity Cafe.  MidCity Cafe was located on the lobby level of the MidCity lofts on Spring Street and abruptly closed earlier this month.

Cypress Street, located at 817 West Peachtree Street (officially the corner of Cypress & 6th Streets) is essentially a couple of minutes from the MidCity space so the takeover would seem to make perfect business sense.  Cypress Street opened in 2008 and now has a significant following and could create a new, yet complementary concept in the new space.  This type of "clustering" has been done successfully by Here to Serve (TOWN Brookhaven), Buckhead Life (Buckhead), F&H Food Trading Group (Historic Downtown Roswell) and the Fellini's group (North Buckhead/Sandy Springs)

Details of a Cypress Street concept or timetable for its planned opening are not yet available.
