Metrotainment Returns to Vinings Jubilee With Guaco Joe's

New restaurant now open in Vinings.
Mexican restaurant La Paz has been replaced by Guaco Joe's. The new concept is owned and managed by Atlanta-based Metrotainment Cafes and became official today.

Metrotainment Cafes is no stranger to the area having operated Garrison's Broiler & Tap in Vinings Jubilee for over 15 years before its closure this past summer.  (A few weeks ago, the former Garrison's reopened as Paces & Vine and is now owned by Tom Murphy of Murphy's.)

Metrotainment  Cafes also operates Einstein's, Joe's on Juniper and Cowtippers in midtown; Sugar Shack in Brookhaven, and five Hudson Grille locations around town.

Metrotainment actually began managing La Paz in July, shortly before the Garrison's sale.  This timeline allowed for  Metrotainment to offer employees affected by the Garrison's closure positions at the Mexican eatery.

A representative at Guaco Joe's said that the company had been "observing" the day-to-day operations and menu of La Paz before making the moves that took place today.  The new Guaco Joe's menu went into service today, reportedly with most favorites from La Paz but plenty of new additions as well.

Guaco Joe's is open until midnight tonight, will be closed on Thanksgiving, and will reopen on Friday.

In other Metrotainment news, two new Hudson Grille locations are coming soon to Tucker and Kennesaw.

Based on the picture, I thought this was a post about Trader Joe's brand guacamole. Sad to see La Paz go.

La Paz was terrible. Canned chicken, over priced margarita's... need to modernize this new place's menu.

Unfortunately, from the sound of the article, they're keeping much of La Paz and pivoting from there. They should have thrown the cards in the air and started from scratch.

I disagree. La Paz was great. I went to Guaco Joes this past weekend. Very disappointed, will not be back.
