Bojangles' Coming to Chamblee

Biscuit chain planning Chamblee location

Charlotte, North Carolina-based Bojangles' is planning a new location on Buford Highway in Chamblee.  The new freestanding restaurant would be built in an outparcel of Crossroads Village shopping center on Buford Highway near its intersection with Clairmont Road.

An El Pollo Loco opened in the center in 2008, but closed in 2011 amidst the chain's struggles in the Atlanta market. Today, the former chicken joint is an urgent care facility.  A Burger King also opened in an outparcel of the center, and continues to operate.

Crossroads Village is anchored by an Aldi grocery store, but also features over a dozen inline retailers and restaurants.

Not far from Crossroads Village, a McDonald's relocated to a newly built structure close to Skyland Kroger, while a Smoothie King now occupies a former Checkers.

About a mile and a half down Buford Highway at Northeast Plaza, Atlanta-based Popeyes closed their freestanding restaurant in 2009. Pollo Campero, a Guatemala-based fast food chicken chain with U.S. headquarters in Dallas, Texas opened in place of Popeyes.

Bojangles' has been aggressively expanding its Atlanta area presence, having added new locations to Tucker, Peachtree Corners, Duluth, Lithonia and Stone Mountain in recent years.

Yesterday, I broke news of a planned Bojangles' a few miles up Buford Highway in Doraville.

Where would you like to see the next Bojangles' open? Who makes the best biscuit in town?

I remember eating at an old Bojangels on Peachtree Industrial near my first job, so thought I’d check out one of the new locations. I was pleasantly surprised to find that they offered breakfast biscuits all day and picked up a ham & egg for a late lunch. Overall it was a decent experience for a fast-food place. I will say that the staff seemed to be trying very hard to provide good customer service, so if this continues they’ll probably do all right.

I ate at Bojangles several times while working in South Carolina so am glad to have this option close to Brookhaven when needing a fried chicken fix. Isn't this their first ITP location? Perhaps just on the northside.

My favorite thing about them is breakfast all day. Them and Sonic. God Bless them.

Bojangles is also opening a location in Dacula. Not sure if it will do well there but I'll give it a try. Never tried them.

I'm glad to see Bojangles popping up around town again. I'm a lucky girl because I live in Doraville but work in Chamblee - I will be able to have Bojangles now whenever I want it!

That shopping center has a great Mexican Seafood restaurant/sports bar called Nayarit something. Also a great Mexican Meat oriented restaurant called costilla grill.

This is great! So many amazing things in Doraville, I've made it my official go-to city for fast food.

I'm glad we have an American food restraunt coming to Doraville and Chamblee. We have too many Mexican and Asian restraunts as it is. We sure don't need any more. Thank you Bojangles and any other American restraunts that come here. I can't wait for the one in Doraville to open. I might not be the first customer but I will be there the first day. I would like to know what the opening date is though.
