Advance Auto Parts Reportedly Gets Green Light to Build in Atlanta's Red-Light District

Auto parts store planned for strip club corridor

A new Advance Auto Parts is planned for 2171 Cheshire Bridge Road.  The new auto parts store will open in place of the current structure which previously housed Ledbetter Roofing Company.

The property is situated between the former Poster Hut and the center that includes Domino's and Taqueria del Sol.

Headquartered in Roanoke, Virginia, Advance Auto Parts is reportedly the largest retailer of automotive replacement parts and accessories in the United States.

Advance Auto Parts has increased its intown locations in recent years having added locations to Lawrenceville Highway in north DeKalb county and on Howell Mill Road on the westside.  On Lawrenceville Highway, AAP opened in place of a former Mrs. Winners, while on the Westside they opened in place of a building that had been home to Bell Street Burritos.

What are your thoughts on this reuse of the vacant space? What should open in place of the Poster Hut store?  Where do you currently go for your auto parts?

Please share your thoughts below.

all those residential neighbors that tried to get Onyx closed should be happy, right?

Well that's depressing. I drive Cheshire Bridge daily and was thinking that property, Poster Hut, the Mexican market and the car wash lots should all be combined to make way for something better - though maybe the lots are too shallow.
