Rock 'N' Taco Rolls into Sandy Springs

Buckhead restaurant expanding to Sandy Springs

Rock 'N' Taco, a taco-centric bar and restaurant which opened on Roswell Road in Buckhead in 2013, plans to expand to Sandy Springs early next year.  The new Rock 'N' Taco will also be on Roswell Road, about nine miles north of the original location.

The new Rock 'N' Taco opens in place of Moderna, a bar, lounge & restaurant that closed recently for the second time in less than two years.

Rock 'N' Taco is owned and operated by Atlanta entrepreneurs Brad Hancock and Joe Ryan who also own Red Martini (formerly The Southern Club, and before that, Peachtree Tavern) in Buckhead.

The original Rock 'N' Taco was previously a Shane's Rib Shack before a short stint as The Village Tap from the owners of 5 Paces Inn in Buckhead.  Last year, the restaurant added a second story outdoor patio to their existing single story restaurant.

Are you a fan of Rock 'N' Taco?  Are you excited to see them expand?  Where would you next like to see a Rock 'N' Taco open?

Please share your thoughts below.

Big scoop! Your buddy over at Brookhaven Post did a nice write up on Peachtree Crossing at the foot of ChamHaven, the well known Whole Foods installation will be complimented by Octane Coffee, YEAH! BURGER, Chipotle, Zoës Kitchen and Taqueria del Sol. It would be nice to see you put your own flavor in a recap posted to TONETO and a link for credit.

I was wrong on this place as it has lasted a lot longer than I expected. That said, I am not a fan of their food but they seem to have done something right.

I hope that is a pic of a NoCal location and not an ATL location with Niners flags.
