J. Christopher's Bringing Buckhead Breakfast to a New Building

Breakfast joint relocating Buckhead restaurant.

Atlanta based J.Christopher's plans to relocate their existing restaurant from 3050 Peachtree Road (Two Buckhead Plaza) to the former Paul's restaurant in Peachtree Hills.  Unable to find a buyer, Paul's, from chef/owner Paul Albrecht of Pano's & Paul's, closed at the end of last year.

(Albrecht's other restaurant, Social Vinings, also closed last year, but will reopen soon as Steak 101, from the 101 Concepts restaurant group.)

The existing J. Christopher's restaurant is scheduled to close at the end of February with plans to reopen in the new location about three months later.

The new J. Christopher's will place the restaurant far closer to Another Broken Egg Cafe in Peachtree Battle Shopping Center and Egg Harbor Cafe in The Brookwood.

The first J. Christopher's opened in Marietta in 1997.  Since then, the chain has grown to include twenty locations in Georgia and a pair of locations in Tennessee.

Bradenton, Florida based First Watch, a similar breakfast eatery, entered the Atlanta market in 2012 with the purchase of two J. Christopher locations.  The restaurants, in Johns Creek and Smyrna, were subsequently rebranded and reopened as First Watch restaurants in 2013.
What is your favorite breakfast joint in Atlanta? Do you think J. Christopher's is making a good decision in moving from Peachtree Road to Peachtree Hills Avenue?  Where would you like to see J.Christopher's open next?

Please share your thoughts below.

That's Peachtree Hills Ave, not Peachtree Battle.

has anyone been to that 'oy' place in Vinings? Great food, gigantic portions, family run place. Go there, thank me later.

I think that's a great location. There are hundreds of people within walking distance of that spot, which is good because people trying to breakfast/lunch/brunch there and at Treehouse at the same time on the weekends will get very ugly very quickly if everyone expects to drive and park.

J. Christopher's is very mediocre. It will be a battle of mediocre food vs. Treehouse's apathetic service.

J. Christopher only offers breakfast and lunch, so that's kind of disappointing that Peachtree Hills won't get a dinner option.
