Gourmet doughnut, bacon and coffee shop Bon Glaze and its locations in Brookhaven and Buckhead have been listed for sale by The Shumacher Group.  The roughly 1,850 square foot Brookhaven shop, located in Brookleigh Marketplace on Johnson Ferry Road, opened in 2016 and serves as the primary baking facility and also features a drive-thru.  The roughly 600 square foot Buckhead outpost in Powers Ferry Square is more of a satellite location and does not do much, if any, baking on premise.  The Brookhaven location is priced at $199,000 and Buckhead at $149,000, if purchased individually, or $349,000 as a pair.  Both restaurants are being sold as "keep or convert," meaning they could be kept the same, or converted to other concepts not already present in their respective centers.  

A new AutoZone is coming to a former Rite Aid in a freestanding building on Five Forks Trickum Road at its intersection with Oak Road in Lawrenceville.  Another former Rite Aid on Russell Road in Lawrenceville already operates as a Dollar Tree.  Dollar stores and auto shops are common replacement tenants for abandoned freestanding drugstores given they are often at high profile corner locations.

A new Ace Hardware is coming soon to Northlake Plaza behind Popeyes on LaVista Road in Tucker.

Moe's Southwest Grill is opening a new location alongside an upcoming Flying Biscuit Cafe and Woodstock Mattress Outlet in a new outparcel of Kennesaw Marketplace in Kennesaw.  The restaurant is located at 1450 Barrett Parkway and is expected to open in early November.

An additional new location of Woodstock Mattress Outlet is coming soon off Douglas Boulevard in Douglasville.  The site is located behind Dunkin' Donuts and was most recently home to a package store.  The new location will join existing locations in Canton and Buckhead and a soon to open store in Kennesaw.  

Chef Boyd A. Rose and managing partner Paulo Junior are opening their second location of Secreto Southern Kitchen & Bar at 3575 Durden Drive in Brookleigh Marketplace this coming Wednesday July 11.  Secreto, which replaces the short-lived Fiorello's Italian Bistro, will be open for lunch weekdays, dinner nightly, and brunch on Sunday.

The long-awaited opening of Nashville's Hattie B's will take place next Tuesday, July 12 on Moreland Avenue in Little 5 Points.  The building at 299 Moreland Avenue is a converted former gas station and was advertised last April to be an upcoming location of the popular California-based In-N-Out chain, which turned out to be a cruel April Fools joke.  Atlanta is the sixth location for Hattie B's which specializes in "Nashville Hot Chicken."   

Nitro Zone, a new family entertainment facility, is celebrating its grand opening all week.  The new business replaces the short-lived Slingshot Entertainment in the former Norcross BJ's Wholesale on Cash Court just off Peachtree Industrial Boulevard.  

A new 140 room aloft hotel is planned near Sugarloaf Mills Lawrenceville.  The new hotel is to be built at 2110 North Brown Road adjacent to where we previously reported a Tru by Hilton is being built with an expected 2019 opening. 

A new co-branded Marble Slab Creamery and Great American Cookie location is coming to Providence Square in East Cobb.  The 1,400 square foot space will be located near Five Below in the joint Home Depot/TJ Maxx & HomeGoods anchored center.  Both concepts are owned by Atlanta-based Global Franchise Group.  

Judy Johnson plans to reopen Sandpiper, the women's boutique she shuttered in Vinings Jubilee this past May, later this fall in Paces Ferry Plaza.  The new Sandpiper will be about 2,500 square feet and will join new tenants Hollywood Feed and AT&T, among others, in the soon-to-be 365 by Whole Foods Market-anchored shopping center on Northide Parkway at West Paces Ferry Road in Buckhead.  Johnson, who purchased Sandpiper in 2013 from its original owner Melissa Jagoe, closed the store after 30 years in business.  In addition to Sandpiper, Johnson runs the bi-annual Boutique Warehouse Sale, which is due to take place Friday and Saturday July 20 & 21 at Piedmont Peachtree Crossing aka the Disco Kroger shopping center.  The sale will be held in the former Cost Plus World Market space adjacent to Kroger.
