[OPA!] Greek Eatery Replacing Shuttered Cheeky in Sandy Springs

A new Greek eatery will soon open in place of Cheeky in Sandy Springs near Chastain Park.  George Tselios, founder and former partner in Landmark Diner and the Marietta Diner and current owner of the Gyro City Grill chain, has leased the space with plans to open Santorini, a classic Greek taverna, in its place.  The new full-service restaurant could open before the end of the year.

When Cheeky closed earlier this month, it was the second restaurant to close in the Gateway project on Roswell Road in Sandy Springs this year, following the late July closure of Verde Taqueria.

Steve Josovitz with the Shumacher Group represented the seller and assisted the buyer in the Cheeky transaction.

Are you excited for the addition of something other than a  Mexican restaurant to the Chastain Park area?  What other types of restaurant would you like to see open in the area?  What is your favorite restaurant in the Gateway project?

Please share your thoughts below

Love it. That’s a great spot for a sit down Greek restaurant with good wine and sea food.
