[UPDATE] Savi Provisions on the Move in Chastain Park

Local wine, beer & spirits retailer Savi Provisions plans to relocate its Chastain Park area store in early 2019.  Currently located in Tuxedo Festival at the corner of Piedmont and Roswell Roads, the shop will shift slightly north to the Goodwill anchored center at 3906 Roswell Road.  The center, which is unnamed, is also home to High County Outfitters and previously Atlantic Wine, the space in which Savi will open.

Savi Provisions opened at Tuxedo Festival in early 2013 in space previously home to Party City.  Party City relocated to The Peach shopping center on Peachtree Road where it replaced the bankrupt Linens 'n Things.

ToNeTo Atlanta has known for months that Savi was looking to leave Tuxedo Festival as its 12,000 square foot space has been marked as "Future Available" since at least this past summer on the site plan of the Edens-owned center.  Their new location became clear this week when "Coming Soon" signage went up at the Goodwill center.  As employees at the Tuxedo Festival store confirmed, the move is set to begin January 1, after which there may be a short period when both stores are closed.

Savi's new space is reportedly slightly smaller than their current store, and they will go from primary anchor to one of three stores in a thrift store anchored center.  Despite the lower profile of the new location, Savi will gain something they were never able to get at their current store: ample parking.  Tuxedo Festival is in an excellent location and has a great lineup of tenants including Zoes Kitchen, Chopt, Menchies, Duck Donuts and Marcello's, but it lacks the necessary parking to needed with so many popular businesses.

Parking during peak hours requires substantial patience and a willingness to circle multiple times.  The parking challenges are present even with formerly popular FLIP Burger Boutique having closed over  a year ago, which might make locals wish for Savi to be turned into more parking, rather than new tenant(s).

In addition to the Chastain Park store and aforementioned Pharr Road location, Savi owner Paul Nair operates additional stores on Elizabeth Street in Inman Park, Dresden Drive in Brookhaven, Peachtree Street in Midtown and East Ponce de Leon Avenue in Decatur.   A seventh Savi Provisions is planned for the street level of a new Aloft hotel opening in The Battery Atlanta at SunTrust Park.  The 4,500 square foot space would, like the Pharr Road location, feature a Jittery Joe's coffee counter, and is expected to open in late 2019.

Are you a current or former Savi Provisions shopper excited by the prospect of there being more parking available?  Assuming parking is not an option, what would you like to see open in place of Savi Provisions at Tuxedo Festival?  Where would you like to see Savi Provisions open next?

What happened to Atlantic Wines?

Savi had an awful lot of space there from the start, including a market they didn't stock sufficiently, and a beautiful but underutilized tasting room. Then parking got worse with the arrival of the health club people. Good luck to them up the street; there's no light there, and that intersection is literally dangerous.

Hopefully Savi will do well in the new center. I can't understand why do many places lease in the Tuxedo Festival. Parking is horrendous. I agree with the other poster though - getting out of the Goodwill center is dangerous. I never take a left out of that center.
