[PIZZA PIZZA] Nancy's Pizzeria Slides into Roswell Shopping Center

A new location of Nancy's Pizzeria is coming to Roswell.  The Chicago-style, deep-dish pizza restaurant, which will be at least the seventh in Georgia, will open in Mansell Oaks Plaza, where it will occupy a corner space most recently home to Bombay Brasserie, an Indian restaurant. Bombay Brasserie was opened by Ricky Walia of Cafe Bombay and Masti fame, but after debuting in May 2016, closed about a year later.

The center, located at the corner of Mansell Road and Alpharetta Highway, is also home to a LongHorn Steakhouse  as well as an outparcel former Del Taco which closed this past September after less than a year in business.

Chicago-based Nancy's has in recent years, through franchising, opened several new Atlanta area locations including those in Conyers, Johns Creek, Dunwoody and Buckhead.  The recent restaurant openings joined existing locations in East Point and on Ponce de Leon Avenue in Midtown.

Are you pleased to see the expansion of Chicago-style pizzerias in metro Atlanta?  Where would you like to see the next Chicago-style pizzeria open?  Who in metro Atlanta makes the best Chicago style pizza?

Please share your thoughts below.

Let's hope that the ownership of this new location isn't the same as the Johns Creek store, otherwise it's doomed.

Rather than share personal experiences--many--I'd encourage people to simply peruse the Johns Creek location's Yelp reviews.

While the deep dish pizza at Nancy's can be great, the abysmal operations at Johns Creek cancel out any potential the food has. Awful service, awful employees, understaffed, incompetent management and a horrible kitchen are the norm.

Hopefully the new Roswell location is owned by a different franchisee than the one in Johns Creek who clearly spends more time making excuses on Yelp than actually attempting to correct a myriad of issues the store has.

Chicago as well as Chicago pizza is full of shit! Deep dish with cheese on the bottom and that nasty crust is just gross! I'm sure they will have staff with attitudes which will lead to bad management and bad service. Low yelp reviews hopefully will kill it. Wonder what will replace it after they leave ... nancy go bye bye!

Dear Anonymous, With Deep pleasure we would like you to come try out our pizza with a assurance of a new owner who cares about the food , service and its community . We have read all the reviews and made it a point for all our management and staff to be aware of such incidents thereby we cautiously approach each guest with a full satisfaction experience. I would like you to come try us out , we should have a soft opening next week . Let me buy you an appetizer or a beer as a gesture of goodwill and if all goes well maybe you can give us our first review. Sincerely Malik Kolsawala (owner)

Isn't this a restaurant location that has had multiple different restaurants since the shopping center was built. It is hard to see it from the street and hence they fail and close.

But being seen from the street didn't seem to matter to the Del Taco in the same shopping center, who only stayed open about 9 months.

Frankly this restaurant owner should have picked a better location, maybe along Alpharetta Hwy or in the refurbished shopping center with the new Marshalls and Ross stores. I don't think this pizza place will last that long.

I'm so excited to hear that Nancy's Pizza is coming to Roswell. My wife and I love it so much that we either drive down to Ponce or out to John's Creek (it's about the same amount of time either way for us), and it will be great to have it so close. When will it open?

Wow, so many negative Nancys (snicker) here.

How about wishing the new owners the best instead of hoping they'll close.

Nancy's is FANTASTIC! We've been going to the Ponce location for many years and cannot wait for it to open right down the street! Their traditional crust is the best in GA and the Deep Dish is also a killer! When is the opening day, we'd like to there on the 1st day!
