[BATTER UP!] Locally Owned Edible Cookie Dough Shop Opening in Chastain Park

Batter Cookie Dough will early next year open their second permanent brick & mortar shop.  The new location will open in Powers Ferry Square along Roswell Road in Buckhead where it will occupy the former Bon Glaze doughnut shop which closed abruptly this past September.  Located adjacent to bartaco and not far from center anchor HomeGoods, Batter Buckhead is slated to open in February.

The original Batter opened in the food hall at Ponce City Market in late 2017.  The Buckhead outpost - despite being just 604 square feet - will be nearly double the size of the Ponce location.  The larger size will allow owner Julie Abes to expand the menu by adding several flavors of ice cream to complement its classic and seasonal cookie dough flavors including sugar, chocolate chip, peanut butter, cookies & cream, red velvet, salted caramel and s’mores, among others.  Batter also offers gluten-free and vegan cookie varieties.   Ice cream will be available by the scoop, added to the cookie dough or in ice cream sandwiches.

Crafted from natural ingredients with no preservatives, Batter’s cookie dough is eggless and made with heat-treated flour.  In addition to edible dough, Batter will also serve an assortment of freshly baked cookies, cookie stuffed Oreos, and milkshakes.

Are you excited for the opening of Batter in Buckhead?  What is your favorite cookie flavor?  Where would you like to see Batter Cookie Dough open next?

Having eaten at the Batter Cookie Dough location at TPCM, I felt like the product was dry tasting, very bland, and over priced for what one received. IMHO, the product is nothing more than an "overpriced fad" But knowing where the second location will be, it will be just like "catching lightning in a bottle" for a second time. Kudos to the owner, for knowing her clientele base, for they will certainly support this niche, just like it is supported at TPCM.......
