The Haverty's that used to be the Container Store that used to be Haverty's is going to confuse me.

I don't know which other retailers, besides Lord & Taylor, were there when Phipps opened, but I remember Abercrombie & Fitch (when they sold preppy sportswear and sporting goods), Skippy Musket (jewelry), Parklane Hosiery that was later H. Stern and is now Anne Fontaine, the Peasant Uptown, Chocolate Soup (children's clothes), Caswell-Massey, and a sandwich/salad place called Cafe Manet which along with the Peasant was the only food service in the mall until the Tavern opened.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-579719431387122896.post-86936853895611726962014-10-16T16:22:07.774-04:002014-10-16T16:22:07.774-04:00Regarding Phipps, check out Southern Israelite'...Regarding Phipps, check out Southern Israelite's online archives. Most of then need serious architecture and landscaping upgrades. One side benefit to BA... It might raise the aesthetic bar for ATL retail. Good on them as well for adding access from the sidewalk by creating cut through and cross walk through the parking lot and straight to the front door.
