A wine bar & oyster theme also seems odd but perhaps if the room was more like a lounge instead of a Captain D's it could have worked. Then again per the article all of the company's restaurant s have closed.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-579719431387122896.post-62674280322503630872019-07-03T13:38:11.457-04:002019-07-03T13:38:11.457-04:00too many obese people who prefer not to walk acro...too many obese people who prefer not to walk across a parking lot may also be an issue.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-579719431387122896.post-69136874269686598132019-07-03T13:35:48.940-04:002019-07-03T13:35:48.940-04:00plenty of parking in the garage under the Publix. ...plenty of parking in the garage under the Publix.
Drinking establishments do fine at Town.
Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-579719431387122896.post-46454169003710673282019-07-03T13:06:58.291-04:002019-07-03T13:06:58.291-04:00Burger King & Trader Joe's would be great!...Burger King & Trader Joe's would be great!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-579719431387122896.post-31244837369406733882019-07-03T10:15:50.559-04:002019-07-03T10:15:50.559-04:00Doesn't help that the folks living near town b...Doesn't help that the folks living near town brookhaven overwhelmingly will drive there. Peachtree is horribly bike/ped unfriendly, but there are a LOT of people living within easy bike ride distance if the developer / city actually designed for something other than car-centric life.Jonathanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16202232297520563227noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-579719431387122896.post-87673572598605707902019-07-02T22:06:33.114-04:002019-07-02T22:06:33.114-04:00TOWN Brookhaven = bad developer, no imagination in...TOWN Brookhaven = bad developer, no imagination in design and total failure. Quick serve restaurants fail, as it is not easy to park and grab something quickly. The one exception is Newks, but being close to the Publix parking lot helps. Some of the more expensive restaurants fail, as the strip center environment does not set up well. Perhaps if they had valet parking, but finding parking and walking to fine dining, there are too many other options in Atlanta. The restaurants that can find a middle ground seem to be doing fine. A place that is not overly expensive, with an environment that invites you to spend some time (and money). These restaurants also seem to have a decent amount of alcohol sales. Lucky's, There, Red Pepper, Olde Blind Dog, and Hob Nob all seem to fit this description. Problem with Town Brookhaven is the lack of parking to support the restaurants & businesses. There were a few good restaurants that went away because of it. Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
