A new Hooters restaurant is coming to the Mall of Georgia
Atlanta-based Hooters plans to open a new restaurant at the corner of Mall of Georgia Drive and Mall of Georgia Boulevard in Buford. The planned 8,500 square foot free-standing restaurant would be in an outparcel of Dillard's. The Hooters would be built on a previously undeveloped site adjacent to an existing Bank of America.

The vacant parcel to the right of Bank of America is where Hooters plans to open |
Plans label the restaurant as "Proto IV Building" likely relating to a new prototype buildout. Hooters has been trying to change its image as it fights both typical sportsbar competition and competition from the likes of Twin Peaks and Tilted Kilt.

This new look Hooters opened in Slidell,LA in 2013 |
Hooters started in Clearwater, Florida in 1983 and practically invented the "breasaurant" industry.
Mimi's Cafe, LongHorn Steakhouse and Romano's Macaroni Grill are all located nearby.
Mall of Georgia has welcomed a number of new restaurants over the past year or so including The Cheesecake Factory and local concepts Tin Lizzy's Cantina and Marlow's Tavern.
Hooters has existing area locations in Duluth on Gwinnett Place Drive and in Lawrenceville on Duluth Highway.
A new Hooters is also in the works in Douglasville where it will open in a renovated existing restaurant. The new Hooters will open at 6855 Douglas Boulevard, across from Arbor Place Mall. The space was built as a Smokey Bones BBQ and was most recently home to S'more BBQ. Hooters previously operated a Douglasville location on Concourse Parkway but it closed in 2011.
OK, this is something we could definitely do without in this area.
ReplyDeleteWhat we need is a good sit down restaurant.
I’ve never really understood the attraction of The Hooters Restaurant. If you want a nice meal there are better places and if you want to ogle women there are better places for that.
ReplyDeleteGosh Nordstrom is gone, hooters on the way. Not saying much for MoG. I guess we can expect dollar general and old time pottery soon.
ReplyDeleteLol @ "a good sit down restaurant." Hooters has seats too.
ReplyDeleteUsually people who complain are mothers past their prime, hating. No one is hating on y'all flocking to see 50 shades of grey, so stop your madness.
