[ALERT] Sprouts Farmers Market to Open New Georgia Store in This Fall, Planning Another

Sprouts Farmers Market will later this fall open a new Atlanta area store and has another on tap, too.  The new healthy grocery store will open at The Bridges at Jodeco, a massive 158 acre mixed-use development along Jodeco Road, just off I-75 in Stockbridge.

The Stockbridge store, which joins existing tenants such as Costco, Starbucks, Chipotle, and the new four-lane elevated drive-thru Chick-fil-A, will span about 23,000 square feet and is due to open November 15, according to a company announcement.

The new Stockbridge store marks the first new location in Georgia since 2021, when the Phoenix-based grocer opened stores in Buford and Smyrna in August and December, respectively.

In addition to the Stockbridge store, another new Sprouts is planned for Newnan.  According to our friends at The City Menus, the new Sprouts in Newnan is planned for 19 Millard Farmer Industrial Boulevard and will become the center's new anchor.  The Newnan store will be similar in size to the Stockbridge store and is expected to open in 2026.

Sprouts entered the Atlanta market in 2014 with five stores, and today operates sixteen around the state.  The company has closed three locations in the area including those in Dunwoody (2018), Chastain Park / Sandy Springs (2023), and Duluth (2023).

Are you excited about the openings of Sprouts Farmers Market in Stockbridge and Newnan?  What is your favorite grocery store? Have you been to the new four-lane elevated drive-thru Chick-fil-A in Stockbridge?

  3. Any thoughts on if they'll go into the spot Publix is leaving at Ashford Dunwoody/Johnson Ferry, where they're moving down the street to the old Kroger?
