The first Atlanta area location of POP MART is scheduled to open at Perimeter Mall in Dunwoody. According to planning materials reviewed by ToNeTo Atlanta, the new store is planned for the roughly 1,700 square foot, first floor space (#1355) currently occupied by candy store Lolli & Pops.
Lolli & Pops is still open in the suite and its unclear when it may close. The space is located between Hollister Co. and Starbucks in the Macy's wing.
Elsewhere in the mall, Danish toy company LEGO is opening a new store on second floor of the Dillard's wing. The new LEGO stores marks the third in metro Atlanta joining others at North Point Mall in Alpharetta and Sugarloaf Mills in Lawrenceville. There is also a LEGO retail store attached to the LEGO Discovery Center Atlanta on the third floor of Phipps Plaza in Buckhead.
Pop Mart was created in 2010 by millennial entrepreneur Wang Ning, 38. After taking Pop Mart public on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in December 2020, Ning has become China's tenth richest person as of July 2025 with an estimated net worth of roughly $23 billion, according to Forbes.

The company, with U.S. headquarters in Glendale, California, currently has thirty-three stores in the U.S. plus another eight "pop up" stores. The company also operates 55 "Robo Shops" via vending machines in malls, shopping centers and other high traffic locations around the country.
There are currently "Robo Shops" in the south at CoolSprings Galleria in Franklin, a suburb of Nashville and at Dolphin Mall in Miami. The Perimeter Mall store looks to be the first physical store in the region.
The company is reportedly considering opening a store in at least one other metro Atlanta mall. Pop Mart also has plans for additional stores in the south one of which could be opening at Florida Mall in Orlando, according to online reports.
Are you excited for the opening of Pop Mart in Atlanta? Do you know what a Labubu is? What is your all-time favorite toy?

ReplyDeleteWhere are the online reports that Popmart will be opening in the Orlando Mall? Neither Popmart nor the Orlando Mall made a statement. Also the "Robo Shops" are just vending machines.

ReplyDeletePretty sure the Lego store is leaving North Point
ReplyDeleteThat makes sense
DeleteThe Lego store is leaving North Point.
ReplyDeleteThe Lenox Pop Mart is getting a Labubu, ridiculous landfill crap...hoping Perimeter fares better. Love to see a Fran's Chocolates, Donald Pliner shoes, or other popular brand not in Atlanta. And not a $$$$$ luxury brand.
ReplyDeleteI’d like to see a Weems Co. stationery store, a Helen Gallagher Gifts, Leeds Chocolates, Hartley’s, even an Over Our Heads would be more fun than this.
DeleteI understood that reference.
DeleteI love how ridiculous Pop Mart is going to look in a year or two when the fad dies off. Labubu landfill incoming.
