A growing dumpling franchise has its sights set on a Midtown Atlanta expansion. Dumpling Master, which debuted last July in Peachtree City and expanded to metro Atlanta last August with a location on Highway 9 in Alpharetta, has six locations open and at least three more "coming soon."

According to those who have visited the other locations, the service model at Dumpling Master is fairly unique in that customers order via a QR code at their table, and orders are delivered via robot. Additionally, there is a showcase area where customers can watch as dumplings are made.
According to the restaurant's website, the upcoming Dumpling Master locations are:
1020 Piedmont Avenue (Azure on the Park), formerly home to Triple Jay's Pizza which closed this past January. The Midtown space was before that home to Cactus House, a Mexican eatery.
2285 Wisteria Drive, SW, Suite 100 (The Grove at Towne Center) in Snellville. In this new "town green" project, Dumpling Master will occupy a roughly 3,000 square foot space in a project also expected to welcome The Grove Taqueria and a combination Great American Cookie Co. and Marble Slab Creamery shop.
1532 Marketplace Boulevard at Cumming Marketplace in Cumming, formerly home to Dice Goblin Games & Grill.
Existing Dumpling Master locations include:
5255 Peachtree Blvd., Suite 110 (Attiva Peachtree by Cortland 55+ community) in Chamblee.
1248 Clairmont Road, Suite 1A (Emory Walk) in Decatur.
3185 Woodward Crossing Blvd. (Mall of Georgia Crossing) in Buford.
130 Hickory Street (The Mark Athens apartment community) in Athens.

"Order via a QR code". Well I won't be patronizing them. But having a robot server will eliminate the tip, but they'll likely add it on anyway.
ReplyDeleteWhat?
DeleteYou can’t scan a QR code? Ridiculous! Their prices are very reasonable and yes we didn’t tip. Had very small staff. Sounds like it’s not the place for you.
DeleteYou should stop by there and tell them you won’t be eating there.
DeleteYou seem fun
DeleteJust went to Alpharetta location for my Birthday. We all loved it. Highly recommend!
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like a great idea. I can't wait to try it. You are always a great source for Exclusive News
ReplyDeleteRe: Won't be patronizing... It's a fast food restaurant essentially. Not sure why ordering via QR code is an issue for you. And if you're incapable, I'm sure someone would help you. So odd to have such a visceral reaction. I'd love to go to most fast food and quick serve restaurants and have no contact with an employee!
