[ALERT] Seven Lamps Has Been Replaced by Corbu's Pizza in Buckhead

In case you missed it...as many did, Seven Lamps at the Shops Around Lenox in Buckhead quietly closed in December and the owners revamped and renamed the space which now operates as Corbu's Pizza.  Locals suggest the new eatery quietly debuted about two weeks ago.

Then chef and co-owner Drew van Leuvan originally opened Seven Lamps (3400 Around Lenox Road, Suite 217) in December 2012, but left the restaurant in November 2020.

Whereas the former concept was named after art critic John Ruskin’s principles of architecture: sacrifice, truth, power, beauty, life, memory, and obedience, Corbu's gets its name from legendary Swiss-French architect Charles-Édouard Jeanneret, known professionally as Le Corbusier.

"Corbu’s Pizza blends iconic design with crave-worthy Italian flavor—named after legendary architect Le Corbusier and his love of beauty with purpose. We’re all about artisan pizzas made with high-hydration dough that’s light, fluffy, and perfectly crisp, using non-GMO, organic King Arthur flour and sliced whole milk Mozzarella on the bottom for optimal crispiness," says the Corbu's website.

While pizza is in the name, the restaurant's offerings go well beyond typical pizzeria fare, with "veggie-forward starters, a standout burger, and Italian-inspired craft cocktails made for lingering," the website adds.

Elsewhere in the center, Dantanna's closed December 6, and we are told it will not become a new restaurant.

Are you surprised to see Seven Lamps replaced with a pizza-centric eatery?  Have you been to Corbu's?  What kind of restaurant would you most like to see open in Buckhead?

Please share your thoughts below.

  1. Since the departure of van Leuvan, it wasn't the same, but in its heyday Seven Lamps was a really great hidden gem of a restaurant. This… doesn't sound promising.

    2. Stay home and cook. It’s healthier and you can have whatever you want, instead of complaining about all restaurants.

  7. I am actually excited for a new pizza place in the area. There are so few places to go with a family that are in that part of Buckhead! There are so few good pizza places in the area and around Lenox could definitely use one. I hope they succeed!
