Fast casual salad chain CHOPT is closing their Brookhaven location after nearly three years in business. The salad chain opened at Brookhaven Station (4058 Peachtree Road) February 20, 2024 and will close for good on October 25.
Atlanta-based Hendon Properties sold the 4.6 acre Brookhaven center for just over $30M about two years ago. Curbline, a spinoff of former Brookhaven Plaza owner SITE Centers, is the current owner of Brookhaven Station.
Two spaces - a former restaurant and a former nail salon - were combined to create the roughly 2,600 square foot space that CHOPT occupies.
Remaining restaurants in Brookhaven Station include Fox Bros. Bar-B-Q, Chick-fil-A, Mellow Mushroom and Beyond Juicery.
Following the Brookhaven closures, six other CHOPT locations remain open in metro Atlanta: Toco Hills, Ansley Mall in Midtown, Tuxedo Festival in Chastain Park, Pinestraw Place in East Cobb, The Forum Peachtree Corners in Peachtree Corners and Perimeter Marketplace in Dunwoody.
Are you surprised to see CHOPT close in Brookhaven? What could change at Brookhaven Station to make the center more appealing to would-be patrons? What would you like to see open in place of CHOPT?

ReplyDeleteWife and I live nearby, have $$$...but man...going to a crowded parking lot to pay $45+ for 2 salads...I'm so out.
ReplyDeleteDidn't you mean to say homeless instead of unhoused

DeleteDoomed location from the start. Nothing has survived there. Poor execution on custom orders and ingredient availability and quality didn’t help either. Love Chopt but would go out of my way to the Roswell Rd location even though the Brookhaven location was a stone’s throw away. Too bad. I look forward to the next unsuccessful attempt to take over that space for two or three years.

DeleteI'm sorry they failed, and even though it's a nice concept, I don't see how people shell out that kind of money. For the price of one meal alone, you could buy enough greens and extras to make a salad meal for a dozen people.
ReplyDeletelive nearby, but parking is crazy over there
ReplyDeleteLiked them better when they actually chopped the salad instead of having everything pre-cut down to size.
