Ever tried driving around Buckhead, downtown, midtown, Emory, Westside, Techwood, Mall of Georgia, Marietta or pretty much anywhere else in Atlanta during rush hour? Yes, traffic sucks. Anything built anywhere will increase traffic. That's just part of being a big city.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-579719431387122896.post-90899756548476211362018-11-27T05:53:04.919-05:002018-11-27T05:53:04.919-05:00Before building anything there, the developers nee...Before building anything there, the developers need to try to drive on Clairmont around 3-6PM any weekday. There's a reason that one office building has a cop out there directing traffic every day. It's a logjam. Good luck to anyone trying to stay at that hotel. Plan for delays. The biggest hangup at the time was that the only entrance / exit would be on Clairmont Road, adding to the traffic mess in that area in the afternoons. If I remember correctly, Chamblee city council approved the plans at the time. Not sure why it didn't go ahead. Hopefully they will push for a non-Clairmont entry point this time.
