Pollo Tropical Still Cumming... But to Different Parcel

Correction to Pollo Tropical post.

Yesterday I reported that Miami, Florida-based Pollo Tropical would be opening a new freestanding location in Cumming.  I have now received new information that is slightly different than what I reported and I wanted to clarify.

The restaurant chain does intend to open a new restaurant in Cumming but I received inaccurate information as to where exactly it would be located.

I reported that the Caribbean flex casual eatery would demolish the former Cumming Fish Market at 872 Buford Road.  Instead, the chain plans to demolish the nearby Up The Creek Fish Camp eatery and erect a new restaurant.  Up The Creek was a small chain of casual seafood restaurants that according to one source closed in Cumming in late 2008.   At least one local resident sees this parcel as a better, more visible option.

I don't make it to Cumming too often, so I may not be the best judge in this case.  Do you live nearby?  What are your thoughts?  What would you like to see built in place of the Fish Market?

We saw this morning a Pollo Tropical foundation being built on site of WalMart parking lot in Cumming...I was not aware of it coming into town and so very excited to see this as the closest one is in Lawrenceville. Alpharetta location just opened few days ago also but this location is further out. I do love Pollo Tropical!!!!
