Restaurants, retail, and more! Check out this week's bits & bites after the jump...
Aroma (Lounge) recently opened on Clairmont Road at Williamsburg Village. Aroma takes the place of the freestanding building that was most recently home to Ledet, an Ethiopian restaurant. Aroma offers food, drinks and hookah in an upscale lounge environment. I doubt it will last, or the neighborhood will tolerate it, but Aroma claims it stays open seven days a week from 6 pm to 3 am. A similar business, Arif lounge, is located within Williamsburg Village, but on the Clairmont side. It offers similar hookah fare in a lounge environment.
EighteenEight, a new men's salon is opening later this spring in TOWN Brookhaven. The salon will occupy the failed Swirll frozen yogurt shop on Brookhaven Avenue, a few doors down from Newk's.
Quickshot will open its new Buckhead-ish location on Buford Highway this week. Quickshot, a shooting range, has an existing Atlanta area location on Zonolite near Floataway Cafe, and another location in Charleston, South Carolina.
Bachrach has closed what it seems was a temporary location at Lenox Square, and reportedly will reopen in March next door to their former space. Bachrach will occupy the right hand portion of the former Nike store with Athleta scheduled to occupy the left hand portion. I'm thinking Athleta will open in mid-to-late Spring.
The Original Mattress Factory is moving its Buckhead location. The Original Mattress Factory, currently located at 3167 Peachtree Road, will soon relocate to 3230 Peachtree Road. Their new location was most recently a Mattress Firm but apparently MF decided that 5 locations within the immediate Peachtree/Piedmont intersection was a bit much.
