Arby's, the quick serve eatery that for years has seemingly closed more locations than it opened in metro Atlanta, plans to open not one, but two new locations in metro Atlanta soon.

In addition to the previously announced Arby's planned for an outparcel of Scenic Promenade shopping center on Scenic Highway in Snellville, Arby's will also open in the former Pollo Tropical on State Bridge Road in Johns Creek.
Pollo Tropical opened their restaurant in a previously undeveloped outparcel of he Hobby Lobby-anchored Medlock Corners shopping center in early 2015. This past April, Pollo Tropical closed the Johns Creek restaurant, along with locations in Alpharetta and Cumming, amidst an overall reduction of stores in "expansion" markets by the Miami-based chain.
In Johns Creek, Arby's will join Nancy's Pizza and S&W Seafood, both of which have recently opened in or around Medlock Corners.
As it stands now, the Snellville Arby's is expected to open in December with the Johns Creek location close behind, expected to debut in January.
Both locations will participate in "Club 50," a promotion similar to Chick-fil-A's "First 100." In Arby's case, their promotion provides free meals for one year to the first 50 people (18 and older) in line the day of the restaurant's opening. The winning 50 customers will each receive fifty-two (52) Arby’s meals. Recipients will have the opportunity to select the meal (one sandwich, small fry, and small drink currently featured on the Arby’s menu) of their choice. The approximate value of the prize is $390 per winner.

Former Hilton Worldwide President Paul Brown was hired as Arby's new CEO in 2013. Brown had led a number of successful initiatives that have had a positive impact on same store sales, which are up for the past fourteen quarters.
In recent years, Arby's has introduced both a new logo and a new store design, and tested "urban" locations such as their restaurant on Peachtree Street in downtown Atlanta that opened in late 2015.
This past Saturday, Arby's released their LTO (limited time offer) venison (deer) and elk meat sandwiches. The venison sandwich, which the company introduced temporarily last year, was joined this year by the elk meat sandwich. Both sandwiches were only available at select locations and only while supplies lasted. Both sandwiches seem to have been well received overall, but at least one reporter said that his was "awful" and that "eating that Arby's venison steak sandwich was a mistake."
ToNeTo Atlanta reported in August that Arby's will be switching their soft drink offerings from Pepsi Co. to The Coca-Cola Company next year.
Arby's, like Hardee's, Moe's Southwest Grill, Jimmy John's and McAllister's Deli, among others, are all owned by Atlanta-based Roark Capital Group.

Arbys should come to Meridian in Tucker.
Arby's: personally don't care for their version "roast beef" so doubt that I would like their "other meats" The new Snellville Arby's should have waited to build, as they could have possibly had the Pollo Tropical parcel practically next door. Really don't know how that PT location it is still open.
That will place an Arby’s 4 miles from 4 other Arby’s, each north, south, east, and west of this location. But there are few fast food restaurants closer than those 4 miles.
I think Arby's is kind of underrated as a fast food option. I like their roast beef as well as their curly fries. They are kind of slow though so as long as you are not in too big a hurry.
