[UPDATE] Flower Child to Bloom in Sandy Springs October 17

Flower Child, a quick-service healthy eatery from Sam Fox, creator of True Food Kitchen, is expected to open its second Atlanta area location Wednesday, October 17 in Sandy Springs.  The new restaurant is opening in a roughly 3,500 square foot corner space along Johnson Ferry Road at the new City Springs development.  The chain's first area location opened this past June at the Shops Around Lenox in Buckhead and like Sandy Springs, features an expansive outdoor patio.
The Flower Child menu features assorted salads, wraps, vegetable and grain plates as well as assorted teas and  lemonades which have natural sweeteners such as cane sugar and honey. Dairy and gluten-free desserts include cookies, olive oil cake, raw bars, brown rice crispy treats and granola bars.  Ingredients are organic, sustainable and GMO-free.

Flower Child made its debut in Phoenix, Arizona in 2014.  In the years since, the concept has been expanded in Arizona and also to new markets in California,Texas, Nevada and Colorado with locations opening soon in Virginia, Maryland and Washington D.C.

In City Springs, Flower Child is expected to be joined by a number of other eateries.  Cafe Vendome,a local cafe & bakery, expects to open in about a month, The Select, from the owners of Paces & Vine in Vinings, which expects to open early next year, and NAM Kitchen, from Alex Kinjo of MF Sushi which plans to open "soon."

TURN Studio, an indoor cycling and strength training facility, opened in August and was the first retail tenant to open in the development.  SculptHouse, another fitness facility that was originally a franchise location and was recently taken back by corporate, expects to open in November.  Vida-Flo, a hydration therapy operation, plans to open later this month.
Flower Child and North Italia, another Fox Restaurant Concept, both received minority investments from  Calabasas, California-based The Cheesecake Factory in late 2016.  The investment, which is meant to fund the continued expansion of both chains, provides TCF with the opportunity to purchase a full majority in one or both concepts in the future.

North Italia, an upscale-casual Italian eatery will reportedly also open in Sandy Springs in the near future but it is unclear where or when that will happen.
