Thomas Pink, luxury apparel and accessories manufacturer owned by LVMH, is said to be in talks to take the space vacated when Mayor's Jewelers moved to their new location. The old location is a few doors down from Gap, on the main level and across from Bloomingdale's. Thomas Pink’s main competitors include Ted Baker and Paul Smith, who both offer collections for men and women clothing and accessories. Both of the aforementioned brands do have significant followings in Atlanta but neither have retail outposts here, though both have been rumored for years. Repeat Atlanta!

any rumors as to what is looking to go into the whitehall jewelers once they close?
Nothing yet, the size would prohibit any substantial store from taking the space.
Bad location for a store the caliber of TP: the luxury wing would be a much better location IMHO.
I agree about the poor location. IMHO?
