ChocoLaté Cafe at the LaVista Walk apartments on LaVista Road closed last month and now another coffee shop is ready to take its place. "Java Blues" is said to be opening soon. It would seem as though they are close judging from the nearly completely finished and furnished interior. On August 2nd, their Facebook page stated they were delaying their opening a few days so they could be fully prepared to provide exceptional service. I can find no information to indicate that this new shop is part of a chain, so perhaps its an indie. I wish them luck, but just as ChocoLaté Cafe discovered, there is simply not enough foot traffic nor enough residents to sustain a business like this. If memory serves, the LaVista Walk ChocoLaté Cafe opened in late 2008. ChocoLaté Cafe's original location at the intersection of N. Decatur and Clairmont near the Emory campus remains open as does their second location on Shallowford Road near I-85. ToNeTo Atlanta
