Phipps Plaza will soon welcome a host of new retailers and a new restaurant to mall later this year. In addition to recently opened retailers such as Lilly Pulitzer and Sur La Table, Phipps Plaza will also soon welcome a relocated and enlarged Tory Burch boutique as well as watch retailers Omega and Hublot in addition to a Rebecca Taylor boutique.
Headquartered in Rome, Italy, 7Camicie features tailored shirts and ties for both men and women The 1,000 square foot space is only the second location in the United States
Everything But Water will occupy the remaining 1,200 square foot space left from Niketown and adjacent to Vince.
This September, Atlanta restaurateur Justin Anthony will open "YEBO Restaurant & Bar." The new eatery will occupy the 2,800 square foot former Grape and short-lived Latitutude restaurant space space to the left of Twist on the front of the mall. Anthony's other restaurant endeavor, the 14 year-old 10 Degrees South on Roswell Road in north Buckhead was to be expanding into other markets though I've heard nothing of their plans lately.
"The menu will include everything from traditional South African cuisine to fun twists on pub fare paired with custom cocktails. YEBO will offer a weekday sunset hour, featuring drink specials and more, as well as creative late-night eats and drinks."
YEBO is a Zulu word meaning "yes" or "hello." Zulu is a Bantu language spoken mainly in South Africa.
Have you gone to Phipps Plaza less, more or about the same following the Legoland opening? Do you think YEBO will last longer than Latitude? Do you think Vince will close before the end of the year?

Nothing says *FAIL* like:
traditional South African cuisine
Good God. Might as well just gin up the obit now.
Hey Eli,
Any speculation on the retailers that Buckhead Atlanta might have landed or be in talks with?
I use to go to Phipps all the time. Since Legoland came I rarely go. Use to like the theater there also but that seems to have changed. Never have the movies I want to see.
And yet there is a long standing successful restaurant on Roswell Rd that is traditional South African food, 10 Degrees South. I wouldn't be so quick to assume that South African = failure.
