Sweet Tomatoes has temporarily closed their Sandy Springs location on Peachtree-Dunwoody Road due to fire damage. A sign posted at the restaurant states that neon signage at the front somehow caught fire on the morning of October 4th and damaged the restaurant. Management is working to complete the repairs and hopes to re-open very soon.
If you find yourself in the area, sources indicate that employees are onsite at the restaurant handing out their popular chocolate chip cookies and apparently telling patrons they will reopen in 4-6 weeks. Also, sources say it appears additional enhancements and renovations are being performed on the restaurant during its closure. In the meantime, if you simply can't do without the chain's popular salad bar, muffins and frozen treats, there are three other locations in Alpharetta, Kennesaw and Gwinnett.
