A host of new retailers are slated to open in Buckhead's Lenox Square & Phipps Plaza in the coming months.
As I previously announced, Cole Haan will be downsizing and relocating from their large and dated first floor store at Phipps Plaza. The shoe and accessory retailer will move to the former Tory Burch space and plans to re-open later this month. The move will allow them to both reduce their rent and offer a more boutique like experience.
The former Cole Haan will be replaced by shoe retailer Jack Rogers and boho chic apparel retailer Trina Turk. The boutiques will be firsts in the state for each brand, with each store expected to open in early spring. The Trina Turk store will take about two thirds of the space, Jack Rogers the rest. A source tells me that the Trina Turk store will only carry the women's collection (sorry Mark Boomershine)
J. Crew will open an additional store in Lenox Square that may be Atlanta's first stand-alone crewcuts store, their store for kids. The line is currently available within J. Crew's Perimeter Mall store in Dunwoody as well as outlets in Commerce and Dawsonville. J. Crew has been mum on details but the possibility also exists that the store will also offer the J. Crew Bridal collection, a growing business for the retailer. Whatever happens, the store or stores will be located in what is now Karen Millen, on the first level, adjacent to their existing store.
Karen Millen will soon close in their current space and relocate to a portion of the former Bebe, which in turn, relocated to a portion of the former Crate & Barrel.
Though another flashy yet still inaccurate site in town previously reported that Lids would relocate from their existing space at Lenox Square to occupy the former Ed Hardy, this deal is far from done, and according to a Lids employee, may never happen. Did Kat Cole see my post and make a play at the space for a flagship Cinnabon?
Last but certainly not least, Sprinkles Cupcakes will open later this year in place of the shuttered Wolf Camera at the front portion of the Lenox Square. The store will not only serve cupcakes, but also will have the now infamous cupcake ATM.
What are your thoughts on the new additions to Buckhead's premier malls? Who do you think will open at Buckhead Atlanta? What store is not represented in Atlanta but you would like to see here? Please share your thoughts below.

Atlanta will be a laughing stock of upscale retail until as long as it lacks a Chanel boutique. That's like a good mall not having a Gap.

That comment is so hilarious! While I don't care about Chanel, I'm just picturing all these uppity women lunching after some heavy shopping at Chanel saying, "oh, I can only get Chanel at Nieman Marcus or Saks when I go to Atlanta. What a laughing stock those poor people are down south."
Any word on new retailers coming as part of the Lenox expansion/renovation?
Aren't there a lot of condos, apartments, and houses surrounding Lenox. I would think those people could feasibly walk.
Curious to see who will triumph the cupcake wars. Michael G.

Sad but true. Poor Southerners.
Rumor has it that Nike is opening a flagship in the old Crate & B.
@Anon RE: Nike,
Let me assure you, that won't happen.
Thanks for reading the blog and for the comments.
Why did Tory Burch close? I see Atlanta women wearing her stuff all over the place.
@Anon,
As I said, Tory Burch did not leave the mall, but closed their now dated smaller store, in favor of a new, larger store within the mall.
Thanks for your interest and for reading the site.
The Lenox J. Crew already has bridal.. It's just by appointment only.
