Giuseppe Zanotti Steps into Phipps Plaza

Italian shoe designer Giuseppe Zanotti plans to open his first, and likely only, Atlanta area boutique at Buckhead's Phipps Plaza later this year.

Giuseppe Zanotti will open in the former Tory Burch store on the first level, adjacent to Jimmy Choo.  Tory Burch relocated to a larger space within the mall last year. The former Burch space had temporarily housed Cole Haan but with them now open in their downsized and renovated new home, Zanotti can now begin work of their own.

The roughly 1,500 square foot space was once proposed for a relocation of Bulgari (from Lenox Square) but those plans never materialized.

Giuseppe Zanotti is sold locally at Saks Fifth Avenue at Phipps Plaza and at Neiman Marcus at Lenox Square. The Phipps Plaza boutique will mark the brand's fifth domestic store with others already open in Beverly Hills, Las Vegas, New York and Miami.

Zanotti is one of many luxury shoe designers who became more famous and sought after by his shoes' appearance and mentions in Sex and The City TV episodes and films.

Lenox Square and Phipps Plaza together host some of the world's most luxurious shoe designers and with Buckhead Atlanta coming soon, the overall Buckhead list is sure to grow.

Currently at Lenox Square are Stuart Weitzman, Salvatore Ferragamo, and Louis Vuitton, among others.

Phipps is home to Jimmy Choo, Bally, Bottega Veneta, Cole Haan, Mephisto, Tory Burch and Jeffrey, among others

What luxury shoe designer would you like to see in Buckhead?  What is your favorite shoe designer?  How much is too much for a pair of shoes?
