Zaxby's Hatches Plans For Two New Cobb County Locations

Chicken chain continues growth spurt.

A franchise group hopes to open two new locations of Athens, Georgia-based Zaxby's  in Cobb county.  One proposed location is at 1420 Spring Road in Smyrna.  The new restaurant would replace a shuttered gas station at the corner of Atlanta and Spring Roads.

The second location would be at Old Trace Road and Kennesaw View Drive at the Village at Old Trace.

The two restaurants are under Dustin Mullis's "Chicken Coup" franchise, and are known as  Chicken Coup III RE LLC and Chicken Coup IV RE, LLC, respectively.

Chicken Coup already operates two Zaxby's in Cobb county. One is located on Church Street Extension near Kennestone Hospital, the other is on Sandy Plains Road, about a half mile from Sprayberry High School.
