Groceries, fitness, and food, oh my!
Peachtree Corners Marketplace, the large center that sits near the intersection of Holcomb Bridge Road and Peachtree Parkway, will soon welcome a number of new tenants. In addition to the previously announced Aldi, LA Fitness and Buffalo Wild Wings will join NCG Cinemas in the center.
LA Fitness will open in new, freestanding building being constructed at the south end of the center, closest to Holcomb Bridge Road. The LA Fitness will be 37,000 square feet and is expected to open next spring. The new LA Fitness will replace the existing LA Fitness about a mile away at 7050 Jimmy Carter Boulevard. The current LA Fitness, which opened in 2002, measures about 46,000 square feet and occupies a former Upton's department store.
Buffalo Wild Wings will occupy a 5,600 square foot space behind IHOP and beside Aldi. The Minneapolis-based chain has a number of locations scattered around metro Atlanta, having opened at Cumberland Mall this past fall. Although leasing materials for the Peachtree Corners center suggest that the restaurant will open "December 2016," construction has yet to begin and the company responded with "We can't speak to that at this point" when I tweeted them inquiring about the opening.
Aldi will occupy an approximately 17,400 square foot space in the center, to the left of Buffalo Wild Wings and behind IHOP. The grocer, which often prefers standalone or endcap locations, continues to expand in metro Atlanta and is seemingly taking a more progressive approach to its site selections. In Tucker, the grocer is opening in a portion of Best Buy which downsized to make way for Aldi. According to the property's website, the Peachtree Corners Aldi is expected to open in November, but sources indicate the store may not open until late this year or nearly next year.

In addition to the new tenants, Peachtree Corners Marketplace is already home to Jimmy Johns, Mellow Mushroom, Happy Sumo, Radio Shack, Aaron Rents, outparcel locations of Chick-fil-a & IHOP and a host of other businesses.
A single, newly constructed outparcel building in front of LA Fitness will contain 2,700 and 3,500 square foot suites, of which both are reportedly "at lease."
Multiple calls to the center's leasing agent, Catie Whorton of Sullivan Wickley, seeking comment on the center's timeline and possible newly leased tenants went unanswered.
Are you excited for the upcoming openings at Peachtree Corners Marketplace? What other tenants would you like to see added to the center? Are you surprised Mellow Mushroom has survived as long as it has in its small, poorly situated location?

There is a hole being dug behind IHOP, so my guess is that BWW is under construction. The parking lot is way to small for this many businesses.
Yes, I am surprised about Mellow Mushroom being able to survive in the center. MM does have a following and I have not found a good pizza place in the area.
No mention of a Mattress Firm, Subway or nail salon....
So the Tag Office has relocated?
BWW is going inline where wingstop used to be and a few other tenants. Not sure about any hole in the parking lot. There is already a nail salon there and mattress firm is across the street. I do feel 3 Dollar Cafe days are numbered after this builds out.
That Aldi has been "coming soon" for it seems like a couple years now. The Mellow Mushroom there is very small and, at least as of the last time I was there a year or so ago, doesn't offer table service. It's all order at the counter and self-serve drinks. Maybe that has changed since the theater opened up.
I would love for you to bring mellow mushroom back!!
Any follow up on the tenants for the outparcel building in front of LA Fitness?
