Restaurateur Duc Tran plans to bring a new Vietnamese restaurant to Sandy Springs later this summer. The new restaurant, 285 Colonial Kitchen, will open in place of the former Barberitos, a quick-serve Mexican chain that closed in the roughly 2,000 square foot space last fall. The new restaurant is adjacent to Hand & Stone Massage Spa in the Life Time Fitness and Target anchored The Prado shopping center.
Tran, a native of Vietnam, opened his first restaurant, 575 Bistro, at Cobb Place shopping center off Barrett Parkway in Kennesaw in June 2017. The restaurant has received over 200 reviews on Yelp.com and currently has a 4.5 star rating. 575 Bistro claims to have the "BEST PHỞ IN GEORGIA" and features a menu that also includes assorted seafood, noodle dishes, vegetarian options, beer and wine, among other options.
The new eatery, which will reportedly offer similar fare, is currently slated to open in late August or early September.
285 Colonial Kitchen is the third new eatery to open in former Atlanta area Barberitos. Fresco Cantina Grille opened earlier this year in place of the former Barberitos on Alpharetta Highway in Alpharetta, while Tamago Ramen Bar is slated to open this weekend at The Peach on Peachtree Road in Buckhead in another former Barberitos.
Have you been to 575 Bistro? Are you excited for the opening of 285 Colonial Kitchen in Sandy Springs? What other types of restaurants or retailers would you like to see open at The Prado in Sandy Springs?
