A beauty blogger turned business owner is bringing her eco-friendly nail salon to Buckhead. The Water Room, a nail salon that uses polish free of hazardous chemicals, debuted this past January in Charleston and has chosen Atlanta as their first expansion market. The new salon, expected to open later this spring, will be located in Buckhead Court, the Superica-anchored center along Roswell Road in north Buckhead.

At about 900 square feet, the new salon is about half the size of the original, but promises to be just as nice. The Water Room is an extension of sorts of co-founder Jessica Morse's clean beauty blog "Bare Beauty," which she started in 2012.
In addition to clean versions of your typical nail salon offerings, The Water Room offers some other more, creative "additions" to your salon experience. Under "additions," customers can select extra luxe offerings for their mani/pedi including muscle repair balm ($5), aromatherapy ($5), and noise-cancelling headphones with guided meditation ($5), among other premium options.
Manicures start at $25 and go up to $60 for a 45 minute service - "In partnership with True Botanicals, our one-of-a-kind manicure includes True Botanicals Resurfacing Body Mask as as well as an extended hand massage with True Botanicals Stress Relief Aromatherapy. Choice of polish, or natural, shiny buff."
Pedicures are similarly priced, starting at $35 and going up to $70 for a 55 minute service with True Botanicals products used similarly to the premium manicure.
Although pricing for the Atlanta salon has not yet been released, it will likely be similar to the Charleston location.
The addition of The Water Room to Buckhead Court makes the once dreary center 100% leased.
Over the past several years, the center, owned by Regency Centers, has completed a major overhaul and renovation that has netted the center (and the community) some exciting tenants. Ford Fry opened an outpost of his popular Mex-Tex eatery Superica at the center in 2016, replacing a former Outback Steakhouse space that had been vacant for about two years. Local home furnishings retailer Huff Harrington and local women's shop Range Boutique both relocated to the center later in 2016.
More recently, Brack's Kitchen and Boardroom Salon for Men debuted in the center with Yonder Yoga expected to open soon.
Have you ever been to The Water Room? Does the idea of a "clean" nail salon excite you? If The Water Room continues to expand, where would you like to see them open next?
