Locally owned Vietnamese restaurant I Luv Pho will open its fourth and fifth restaurants later this year. The new outposts in Kennesaw and Roswell will both open in roughly 5,200 square foot spaces.
In Kennesaw, I Luv Pho will open in a space originally home to Ruby Tuesday. The Ruby Tuesday restaurant closed several years ago and its space has sat largely vacant save for a few seasonal pop-up shops. In Roswell, I Luv Pho will open in the revitalized Roswell Village shopping center at the corner of Highway 9 and Holcomb Bridge Road where recent additions include Marshalls, Ross, Starbucks, Crunch Fitness and soon, Sarah Donuts.
Town Center at Cobb, owned by mall powerhouse Simon, is now the second local mall owned by the developer to get a new restaurant in place of a former Ruby Tuesday. Simon in 2016 leased the former Ruby Tuesday at Mall of Georgia in Buford to Red Robin, a "better burger" restaurant.
I Luv Pho features not only their namesake pho, a Vietnamese soup, but also assorted noodle and rice dishes as well as select sandwiches, among other offerings.
ToNeTo Atlanta first got wind of the planned Kennesaw location last year, but confirmation of the restaurant and renovation progress did not come until recently. Signage at the space announcing the opening is now visible and according to the I Luv Pho website, they plan to open March 14. Local sources, however, tell ToNeTo Atlanta the opening is likely further off than next month.
"Coming Soon" signage is also up at the upcoming Roswell space, but no date or time frame is referenced as to when it will open, nor does the website say anything opening-wise.
The Kennesaw and Roswell locations join existing outposts near Mall of Georgia in Buford, Doraville and Duluth. Owners David Le and Tommy Trinh opened the first I Luv Pho in 2004, and previously operated locations in Snellville and Norcross too, but both have since closed.
The Snellville location, which opened at Snellville Pavillion along Scenic Highway in late 2017, was 10,000 square feet according to the center's site-plan, and closed in late 2019, according to online reports. The Norcross outpost, located along Jimmy Carter Boulevard, changed names this past December and is now known as "Pho Viet Number One," but reportedly still maintained both the same ownership and management as when it operated as I Luv Pho.
