Gusto founder Nate Hybl announced via Instagram Thursday that his upcoming Chastain Park location will open Friday, May 8. The new restaurant is opening in The Fresh Market-anchored Roswell Wieuca shopping center on Roswell Road near Chastain Park. Gusto will open in place of what was most recently Cheeseburger Bobby's, situated between Willy's Mexicana Grill and Chicken Salad Chick. Hybl tells ToNeTo Atlanta that given the COVID-19 situation, he does not expect the restaurant to offer on-premise dining but will instead open for takeout and delivery only. The restaurant offers delivery via Uber Eats, Postmates, DoorDash and Grubhub, as well as direct delivery from Gusto teammates.
According to Hybl, the new location will open "as safely and prepared as possible." In advance of the official opening, the restaurant will "pop up" in the parking lot of the new location offering Family Meals and Meal Prep Kits starting Monday April 27 via mini drive-thru-like operation. Plans call for the restaurant to offer select items from their pandemic menu including select options from their Family Meals and Meal Prep Kits starting at 11 AM each day, Monday though Friday. Items will be offered in limited quantities until sold out. No individual meals will be offered.
Gusto features a menu of assorted bowls, salads and wraps, each served with your choice of protein and finished with your favorite "gusto" or flavor (sauce). Each entree is served with a side portion of the restaurant's popular house made sweet potato chips. The small chain, which Hybl started in 2014, has grown from its first outpost on Peachtree Road in south Buckhead to include four additional locations: on Ponce de Leon Avenue near Ponce City Market, North Decatur Road at North Decatur Square, in West Midtown Center at 17th Street and Northside Drive in West Midtown Center, and a freestanding unit with a drive-thru on Peachtree Boulevard in Chamblee, just south of the Whole Foods Market-anchored Peachtree Station shopping center.
A seventh location is slated to open later this fall at Avalon in Alpharetta. Sources say the growing chain has its eyes on several other metro Atlanta markets as it continues its expansion efforts.
