More than a year after we first announced their opening in Buckhead and despite the ongoing pandemic, popular breakfast eatery The Original Pancake House hopes to open next month. Barring any additional delays, sources close to the restaurant tell ToNeTo Atlanta that the plan is to open Monday February 15. The new breakfast joint opens in a roughly 9,000 square foot building at 2964 Peachtree Road (formerly BRIO Tuscan Grille), just north of The Peach shopping center.
There were likely several factors that contributed to the delayed opening in Buckhead but the pandemic was surely a significant factor. That said, online records indicate that Top H this past April received a Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loan in excess of $200,000. Those funds, meant to assist employers in retaining and paying existing employees, likely helped the franchise group weather the storm and provided them the ability to direct other funds to the Buckhead buildout.
The approximately 9,000 square foot Buckhead restaurant - complete with a large indoor bar and expansive outdoor patio with Peachtree frontage - is meant to serve as a flagship not only for the local franchisees, but for the brand.
The opening of The Original Pancake House in Buckhead comes on the heels of news that Snooze an A.M. Eatery, another breakfast focused restaurant, would also be making its highly anticipated COVID-delayed debut.

February 15 huh? Great news. If you get in line today, should be no problem getting seated on Feb 15th!!
ReplyDeletenervous about how late they will be open considering the street racing and shootings that have been occurring lately.
ReplyDeleteI like OPH, always have.
ReplyDeleteMy question is why have their previous Buckhead/Brookhaven locations always closed? The location across from Piedmont Hospital? The location on Peachtree just north of Brookhaven near Oglethorpe? The OG location (or at least the first one I can remember) on the corner of Peachtree and North Druid Hills?
Is it just that they are bought and dozed for pricier developments? Standing in the way of progress? Just curious.
@ 10:06. yes but stoppin all dat crime beez raycis mayghn.
ReplyDeleteWho owns he one on Peachtree now
ReplyDeleteAwful service. Terrible management. Be closed soon
ReplyDeleteThey are charging 18% gratuity on take out orders!! That particular info is hidden under an ad for strawberry something or another. Total robbery. They also do not refund money for take out orders that are not cooked properly. The location on Memorial Drive is dirty, with no posted health scores, serve safe certification, or a business license.
