[EXCLUSIVE] Thai Eatery Grabs a "Slice" of Perimeter Mall

A new Thai restaurant is adding to the expanding dining options at Perimeter Mall in Dunwoody.  26 Thai Kitchen & Bar, a locally owned Thai eatery with four locations already open around town, will open its fifth restaurant at the suburban mall where it will replace the former Max's Coal Oven Pizzeria.  Max's opened in early 2018, but had closed by Christmas Eve 2019.  Varasano's, another local pizza restaurant, first opened in what was then a newly created roughly 5,200 square foot space in late 2015, but it closed June of 2016.

Niki Pattharakositkul opened the first 26 Thai at Lindbergh City Center (recently rechristened "Uptown") in 2016 at the age of 26, which also gave the restaurant its name.  Since then, the Thailand native whose parents own Wild Ginger in Chamblee, has opened additional locations in Midtown, Brookhaven and in PH'EAST, an Asian food hall at The Battery Atlanta at Truist Park.

26 Thai offers a variety of classic Thai dishes including both meat and seafood options as well as several vegan and noodle options that can be prepared with a variety of proteins.

At Perimeter Mall, 26 Thai is slated to open later this fall with a new P.F. Chang's expected to open at about the same time.  A new Buffalo Wild Wings, which was first revealed in late 2019 and was to have opened in 2020,  recently started construction and is slated to open in the coming months.  The upcoming restaurants will join the recently opened Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar which opened in January in a newly developed mall outparcel.
