[EXCLUSIVE] Snooze Opening New Locations in Akers Mill and Alpharetta

Snooze, an A.M. Eatery, a growing breakfast concept, has leased space for its latest locations in metro Atlanta.  The Denver-based chain made its Atlanta area debut last January in Sandy Springs and added a second location on the Westside this past September.  ToNeTo Atlanta reported this past December that the company was planning additional locations in Midtown and Buford.  Now, we have confirmed two more new Atlanta area outposts.

In the Cumberland area, Snooze has leased the recently shuttered Corner Bakery Cafe in Akers Mill Square.  The 3,800 square foot bakery cafe closed its restaurant at Akers Mill Square July 23 after about nine years in business.  In Alpharetta, Snooze will join previously announced tenants including Original Chop Shop, Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar and One Medical at a new center being developed at the corner of Haynes Bridge Road and North Point Parkway.

All Snooze locations operate with the same hours: 6:30 am until 2:30 pm every day.

Established in Denver in 2006, Snooze has today grown to more than 50 locations across ten states with several more coming soon.

In December 2020, Snooze announced a minority investment from Brentwood Associates, a Los Angeles-based private equity firm.  Brentwood, which specializes in "consumer-focused" investments, currently has stakes in Blaze Pizza, Chicken Salad Chick, Lazy Dog and Postino with prior [realized] investments including Zoes Kitchen, among others.

Snooze joins Bradenton, Florida-based First Watch (NASDAQ: FWRG) in being especially active in metro Atlanta.  First Watch in recent weeks opened new locations in Dunwoody and Tucker with others coming soon to East Cobb and Alpharetta.

Are you excited for the expansion of Snooze to more communities around town?  Where is your favorite breakfast spot in metro Atlanta? Where would you like to see Snooze open next?

I'm willing to give them a try!

We like First Watch, Revillie Cafe are all favorites. I like eggs up grill and I'm glad to see them taking over the cursed restaurant spot in the Kroger shopping center at 5665 Highway 9 and Gateway in Alpharetta.

First Watch? Might as well go to cracker barrel.

$12.00 eggs are better than $5.00 eggs, right?

I really wonder just how many brunch places can exist. I find them typically to be decent but a little expensive for what you actually get in return.

We've always had good luck at First Watch. Cracker barrel on the other hand... The quality and service have really gone downhill. Plus, I prefer a healthier option for breakfast.

I for one welcome the additional brunch options.

I love love love Snooze! I have visited one in Sandy Springs, Ga, Denver, Colorado and West Minister, Colorado across from the Westin Hotel and they are all great. I would like to see one open in Douglasville, Ga./Chapel Hill area. There’s money to be spent. That particular area would do well because there’s no competition around and the area is definitely growing. It would something fresh and new for breakfast.
