[EXCLUSIVE] Popular Ramen Restaurant and Local Boutique Opening in Alpharetta Strip Center

Kyuramen is opening yet another Atlanta area location in Alpharetta.  The new restaurant is coming to Henderson Commons, a small strip center at 735 North Main Street, not far from the Alpharetta Costco. The new restaurant will occupy suite 1700, a roughly 4,300 square foot space.

The Flushing, New York-based chain opened its first Atlanta area location this past November at the corner of Satellite Boulevard and Lawrenceville Suwanee Road in Suwanee. A second location debuted June 7 in Abernathy Square at the corner of Abernathy and Roswell Roads in Sandy Springs.

Additional new locations are planned for The District at Howell Mill on Howell Mill Road in West Midtown and in the Kroger-anchored Reynolds Crossing on Steve Reynolds Boulevard in Duluth.

Kyuramen, as its name suggests, is primarily a ramen restaurant but also features assorted bao, rice, and tofu dishes, among other offerings.  The restaurant is perhaps most well known not for its food, but for its creative seating, including honeycomb-like vertical seating that is very "instagramable."

Kyuramen will be joined in Henderson Commons by House of Hazen, a locally owned housewares, apparel and gift boutique that is relocating to Alpharetta from Buckhead.

ToNeTo Atlanta reported in January on owner Rhonda Hazen's planned relocation, which at that time was to a space near The Maxwell, a mixed-use development close to Downtown Alpharetta.  Delays in the delivery of that space led Hazen to explore other options, which brought her to Henderson Commons.  House of Hazen will occupy suite 200, a 3,383 square foot space.

Both Kyuramen and House of Hazen hope to be open in Alpharetta later this year.

Have you been to Kyuramen?  What is your favorite ramen place in metro Atlanta?  What other types of stores or restaurants would you like to see open in Alpharetta?

Alpharetta already has a couple of Ramen restaurants that aren’t doing well. So why not another one to open and quickly close.

I've never been to a Ramen restaurant and I would probably only go if a friend wanted to go. Definitely wouldn't be my 1st choice. I don't live in Alpharetta so wouldn't go to this one. The layout is interesting but in this time when it is hard to get servers not sure how many workers would want to or be capable of handling those stairs. I couldn't do it.

Very interesting. The seating is creative but the stairs are at a steep grade ... Almost like ladder steep LoL. I could climb them but those with knee issues should avoid that level. They kinda remind me of the capsule hotels in Japan.

This one will do well and the others can close

Not for those with bad knees or those suffering from claustrophobia.

Looking at the comments shows why Americans are considered so fat and lazy.

Alpharetta rents are through the roof. Many restaurants there have found that business is not great and are not meeting expectations. Why anyone would open in this area is mystifying. People are simply dining elsewhere.

I was always wondering when a restaurant interior designer would encase a booth with plywood. What a great view for dining! I'll just sit and stare at woodgrain all night until I start to hallucinate.
