A new QuikTrip (QT) is coming to Cobb Parkway. The new fuel center and convenience store is planned for the corner of Roswell Road and Cobb Parkway in the shadow of The Big Chicken. The new QT is being planned for a roughly two acre property created by combining two adjacent parcels.
“QuikTrip is in the early planning stages of developing a new Generation 3 store in Cobb County, with a projected opening in the summer of 2025. The 5,300 sq. ft. facility will feature eight gasoline dispensers and a QT Kitchens offering made-to-order food and drinks and grab-and-go options such as sandwiches, salads, and wraps. Customers will also be able to indulge in freshly baked donuts and pastries. Construction is expected to begin in the fall of 2024, ” said Aisha Jefferson, Communications Manager, QuikTrip.
The new QT would rise alongside Chick-fil-A which relocated from an older location nearby to 1110 Roswell Road in January 2022. ToNeTo Atlanta reported August 7 that The Drafty Dane, a new dog park and bar, is also opening in the area at 942 Roswell Street.

Wow I was not expecting that to develop. Racetrac has better coffee. QT has decent gas station food. Buc-ees has great gas station food at reasonable prices, clean restrooms, weak coffee, and cheaper gas. I didn't think Sam's club across the street has anything to worry about. They are using a lot cheaper than anyone. BTW I've seen the PILOT gas being pumped into the Sam's club tanks. So the gas is from PILOT.
QT needs to get its act together and staff it's existing stores before building new ones. You used to be able to count on QT being clean and organized but that is no longer the case in metro Atlanta. Nasty restrooms, messy drink stations, clutter, etc. They have allowed Racetrac to surpass them in quality.
You are correct. And don’t forget half the gas pumps not working, the soda fountain not working, bugs flying around in the donut cases, wet sloppy floors inside. The staff is pushed to the limit; and most of their facilities can use a serious upgrade.
That’s how it works. The gas at many stations is the same. The cheapest with no detergents all go to multiple stations. The ones with detergents go to the big name brands and QT. There’s no such thing as a truck bringing only a special brand of gas to one specific station anymore.
I recently went to the Quik Trip location here in Woodstock Georgia , not only were they rude but they didnt have what I need. They had no bread whats so ever. I thought it was supposed to be a convienence
store.
From reading the comments, looks like QT needs to step up their game. Get better coffee, customer service training for employees and a clean environment. I look forward to seeing what you do. I use QT but I very seldom go inside.
They don’t reply to complaints or questions when you submit them on the website either. Ignoring customers isn’t smart.
I find bucees food to be good--but a bit on the expensive side. I think they are around 8 dollars for sandwiches. The hot sub at QT was $7 when I had it a few weeks ago, and pretty decent sized. QT also has the great roller-grill of course.
Buc-ees is awesome! Clean restrooms. $8 for a BBQ sandwich is reasonable. Go to another BBQ place and they have gotten expensive. They also have great burritos. Great bakery. Friendly staff.
QT blasts RaceTrac out the water. Well over half these RaceTracs close overnight intermittent because they can’t keep anybody past a few weeks or months.
You can count on QT nationwide to be open 24/7 with an open bathroom and food stocked. Sure WaWa has some advantages their superstore business model is sure fire; and 7/11 has way more locations nationwide - but QT has been consistent.
I will echo other comments about QT. When they first opened in the area, stores were super clean, restrooms near and orderly. Fountain drinks were a deal! Now one finds restrooms sub par, trash around the exterior of the stores and fuel islands.
I now purchase fuel at Costco and look forward to other C Stores moving into the Atlanta market.
Calls to the corporate office don't change anything.
Sad that they have gone downhill, they made studies in consumer taste and build stores. Buc ees stores need many acres of property.
QT is ok, but the company works its employees hard: they work entire 8-10 hr shifts without breaks because they are comped food/drink(which isn't the same as being able to sit quietly, without interruption for a 15 minute break at the least). So, if the employees aren't as pleasant as you'd like, maybe they're tired, at the end of a long day, etc. Their computer system is antiquated and doesn't even tell the employees what change a customer needs, the math is done in the head - nothing wrong with figuring in your head but when the expectations are get the customer out the door quickly that's not the most efficient way to conduct business. You'd think a company the size of QT could get their IT dept to come up with a better system.
Yes, managers get no breaks. Hourly employees do. They are all overworked, used to be paid well compared to other convenience stores but not anymore. Treat your people badly, the stores will look like dumps. Not even to mention the filthy pee soaked restrooms
Racetrac has also gone way downhill. Dumps.
Is buc-ees moving there too? Is that an option instead of QT on this location?
Put one near East-West Connector & Cooper Lake Road. There is a long strip along that corridor, that has nothing but trees. We need to stop building so many $300,000-$800,000 homes and communities, and start building more businesses! That way it'll provide more jobs for the community, thus generating a steady economical revenue. If people can obtain employment, they stand a better chance at being able to pump money back into their respective communities. Sorry for the long post.
All I can say is "Perfect location" Glad to see it coming. I also get gas at Sam wholesale. But the one think they won't have is the hours like QT. I'M NOT a big fan of QT, but I know a good decision when I see it. Buc ees is everything you mentioned which is awesome.
