After a multi-million dollar build out and less than four years in business, a suburban Atlanta steak-centric restaurant is for sale. Uncle Jack's Meat House, situated in a freestanding building within the 21-acre Peachtree Corners Town Center development, has been listed for sale by Steve Josovitz of The Shumacher Group, an Atlanta brokerage that specializes in restaurant sales.
The Lawrenceville restaurant on South Clayton Street closed this past August followed by the Canton Street restaurant this past September. The Duluth location remains open.
Unlike the Duluth and Roswell restaurants which occupied existing spaces that had been restaurants previously, Degel's Peachtree Corners restaurant was built from the ground up for his express use. According to the sales listing, the 4,034 square foot restaurant features a "$2.2 million build out" and is "fully equipped and turn key that can be converted to any landlord approved concept."
Located at 5222 Peachtree Parkway in Peachtree Corners, the restaurant is situated beside Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar in a center also home to Sprouts Farmers Market, CMX CinéBistro, Marlow's Tavern and Cava, among other tenants.
The "state of the art" restaurant is described as being in "mint condition" with bar seating for 30, dining room for 120, patio for 80, private dining for 40, and a "Ric Flair Suite" accommodating 12-16 guests.

It may have been because it was our first night out after covid shutdowns, but I had one of the best filets ever here and am so sad to see it go. Apologies if I missed this, but is there a last day known?
With a name like that, he should have opened it in Midtown.
I’ve been a couple times and found it to be just ok and pricey for just ok food. I much prefer Hal’s, Kaiser’s Chophouse or Annette’s Chophouse for steaks. I’ve been twice and both times the place wasn’t very busy inside.
Well drat! It was a place I have been meaning to visit but never did. I am surprised it closed
I work in Peachtree Corners and enjoyed that place. The service was slow, but if you were willing to relax, the food was good. The name was a little awkward.
They closed their restaurant in Roswell last year. I wonder what's up with them, maybe rethinking the restaurant business?
LOL, that certainly would've been fitting!
It's still open. They didn't close yet, but it is for sale. Which makes sense, since they pay rent, why not use it until the sale is done.
It is not closed yet. For sale doesn't necessarily mean closed.
We love the Duluth location and were very excited when this one opened since it is closer to us. Unfortunately, the service at the Peachtree Corners location was bad, bordering on terrible the 3-4 times we went, so we stopped going. We still visit the Duluth location when we are in the area and have always had a good experience there.
H&W steakhouse opened a few blocks away from Uncle Jacks and that was the nail in the coffin. Hard to compete with one of the best steakhouses in the area at the same price point.
That center is so horrible I feel bad for the finer restaurants there, it’s a beautiful space, I hope it can stay I always loved it
OPEN FOR BUSINESS 100% TOWN CENTER LISTED IT, CENTER IN GENERAL HAS BEEN VERY SLOW, THANK YOU!
I was excited when they first opened in Peachtree Corners but disappoined after going there. The service was terrible and the food was ok at best. Can't say I'm surprised at this news.
I’d love if they turned it into an Eclipse di Luna. That would do well there.
Nailed it. Completely agree.
H&W is like twice the price, that I found. It's also like 4x as good with infinitely better service and atmosphere.
Agree the service was slow and the food was very expensive for what you received. Had very high hopes for that restaurant when it opened.
I went there once to try it out. Paid with credit card. When I checked my final receipt, I saw that they added a "digital payment fee". Never went back.
Mojitos is across the street and is similar!
They have good root beer tho!
Been a few times, there was rarely anyone in there. It's good but it's pricey for what it is, and I believe they weren't open for lunch until somewhat recently. Not all that surprised given how empty it is.
H&W is so good, but yes way more expensive and more of a fine dining experience with a dress code and all.
This would do well I think! Not any tapas places near there. Also moijitos is not similar to Eclipse Menu wise, it's more full meals rather than tapas like Eclipse.
Been to the one in NYC, but never had the desire to go to the one here.
I can't speak for the other locations, but I have it on good authority, that the Lawrenceville location was mismanaged, lost their liquor license, didn't check their mail, ran out of food/drinks, etc.
The name would keep me from patronizing it. It conjures up images of pure sleaziness.
Owner definitely invested too much in this location forcing very very high menu prices for this area and closing was predictable from day one. Easier to sell when it is still functioning and for a higher price.
Would like to have a good Italian restaurant in that space. Not over the top expensive. We miss Mombo’s that was at thee Forum. I am so tired of Bar food passed off for expensive dinner.
Please no more pizza 🍕 that we could get at a grocery store.
No Banks, No Mobile phone stores, mattress stores, nail salons, No Polk Restaurants,.
No restaurants like Lazy Dog with food that is like an old TV dinner. The restaurants that have been selected for that area is ridiculous. First watch is not open have the day./night.
As you can probably tell I’m not very happy with the choices that PTC has made for this area.
I have not eaten there, the name and “a meat hous” in today’s world- have you checked social media lately? Not exactly avant garde thinking 🤔 How about an upscale vegetarian or Asian fusion? Also, could not get any idea what it actually is other than meats…
Although I have not been there, stuck my head in once and couldn’t figure out what it is other than meat- not exactly in line with current trends in food and the name leaves a lot to be desired. Schumacher should look for upscale vegetarian or Asian fusion-and there’s no really good seafood anywhere near…
What is Polk restaurant? Polk County?
Open a restaurant with Stemed broccoli and spinach, with lemon juice and distilled water. No salt: No fat. No meat. No carbs. No sugar. No booze. Open it up and watch the crowd show up!
Shxumacher needs to open the raw carrot and tomato cafe! Only that and nothing else. Stack em high and watch em fly. Hey now!
Honestly the food was terrible here, the owner Willie degel is a horrible business man. Use to hear him say the most racist and obnoxious stuff about his employees. This is Gods Work
He’s Mrs Deagle’s son, from Gremlins, that’s why
I still miss Chef Matt and the Asian salad
