[EXCLUSIVE] Levi's Looks to Outfit Lenox With New Location

Months after the abrupt closure of luxury outerwear company Moose Knuckles, a new Levi's store looks to be on tap as its replacement.  According to a permit filed this past week with the City of Atlanta the San Franciso-based denim company is opening a new store in the space on the main mall level.

The roughly 3,000 square foot space is situated between UNTUCKit and Savage x Fenty and a few doors down from fellow denim company 7 For All Mankind.  True Religion, another designer denim brand, previously closed its store at Lenox Square but has since opened a new store at Cumberland Mall.

Levi's at Lenox Square will mark the company's third full-price store in metro Atlanta joining existing locations in Ponce City Market in Atlanta (11/2021) and Perimeter Mall in Dunwoody (11/2022).  The company's original Atlanta area store, located in phase 2 of Avalon in Alpharetta, opened in April 2017 but closed in April 2020.

In addition to their full-price stores, Levi's also operates several outlet stores in metro Atlanta including those at Sugarloaf Mills in Lawrenceville, The Outlet Shoppes at Atlanta in Woodstock, North Georgia Premium Outlets in Dawsonville, as well as Tanger Outlets in Commerce and Locust Grove.  The company previously closed its store at Calhoun Outlet Marketplace in Calhoun.

Both of the existing full-line Levi's stores feature the company's "Levi's Secondhand Trade-Ins," offering customers the opportunity to trade in their used Levi's for credit towards new merchandise.  In addition, the Ponce City Market store also features an onsite "Levi's Tailor Shop" to create the perfect fit for your new jeans.

Levi's jeans, even in less than ideal condition, can sell for tens of thousands of dollars if they are old enough.  One pair from the 1880s, found at an abandoned mine, sold for more than $87,000 in 2022.

Levi Strauss & Co. was first established in 1853 and has been both privately and publicly held at various times over its 166 year history.  The company re-entered the public market March 2019 under ticker LEVI on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE).

Are you pleased to see Levi's open at Lenox Square?  What retailer would you most like to see open at Lenox Square in the future?  What is your favorite denim brand?

I can’t believe a clothing company was named Moose Knuckles
