[EXCLUSIVE] New Ice Cream & Boba Franchise to Open in Sandy Springs

A new location of Dumont Creamery is coming soon to Sandy Springs.  The Texas-based franchise will open its second Atlanta area location at Parkside Shops (5920 Roswell Road), just outside the perimeter. 

The new eatery will open in place of Beard Papa's (Suite B-107), a Japanese cream pie franchise in the space that closed in 2024.  

Dumont Creamery started in India in 1999 and expanded to Texas in 2023, where the company maintains its U.S. headquarters.  The first Atlanta area location debuted this past May at 5250 Windward Parkway in Alpharetta/Milton.  

Dumont is most known for its ice cream but also features boba, teas, coffees, and other treats.  

Interior work is well underway, but it's still unlikely that the business will open before 2026.  

Interestingly, Parkside Shops is already home to another tea and boba spot, Teamo, as well as the recently opened CamiCakes.  

Ponce City Market owner Jamestown purchased Parkside Shops and neighboring Hammond Exchange in late 2018 and has over the years added several new businesses to both centers but also has considered redevelopment plans for a portion of Parkside Shops.
